Adolf Hitler started World War 2 in 1939 by breaking peace treaties with England and Poland. He invaded Poland which angered England and war was declared. The Nazi Party which Hitler had formed said the Jewish people had more wealth in Germany and the German people who lived there were poor because of it so Hitler wanted to exterminate all The Jewish. Synagogues were burnt. Jewish owned shops were destroyed and all Jewish people were rounded up and kept in ghettos fenced off from others. Death camps were introduced such as Auswitch. Approximately 6 million Jews were rounded up throughout Europe and transported by train to these camps whereon arrival they were processed for extermination, but not before all body hair,gold teeth,clothing and personal items were removed. (The hair was used for mattress filling!) Once in the gas chambers a poisonous gas was released and within a few minutes the Jewish began to suffer a slow and painful death.The bodies were then collected and taken to large ovens for disposal. Most camps ran for over 2 years. The Nazi Party also went around shooting Jews in the country and burying their bodies in large pits. In 1945 Allied Troops finally invaded Germany. Hilter is said to have committed suicide by cyanide pill. This ended the war for Germany. Hitler also managed to get Japan on board but that is another part of World War 2.
