Where She Belongs

So she resided to living in the cold and dark. Where she felt comfortable. Where she knew she belonged. Where she was meant to stay. Forever. copyright gothgirl 2008

She did not want to be a hypocrite. She enjoyed the darkness as her life had never been bright. To her pretending to be bright and happy was a lie to herself and others. For her life so far had been one of never ending darkness. Each time she saw that bit of sun and warmth and light, a dark cloud would appear and block it again.

The Winter was over and Spring had begun. The sun was shinng brightly. The birds were chirping. Everyone was outside having fun and enjoying the warmth they had missed. But she sat in her house with the blinds closed. Using only candles as light. Wearing jumpers and long trousers to keep warm as the house was still cold from Winter.
