Now and then she would return to Earth. To see her parents whom she missed so much. Her mother was always crying. She would weep at night when she thought no one was listening. Emma would stroke her hair. But her mother did not know she was there. Only once did she suddenly jump when Emma touched her. She called out her name. She knew. But she could not see. So she would not believe her daughter was there.

Emma had only a short life. She had loved swimming and writing. Her family was Italian and always spoke their native tongue instead of English. Even tho she had grown up in the U.k She got cancer at age 20. By age 21 she knew her time to leave this Earth had arrived. After saying her good byes she drifted away from her body. The bright light was beckoning her. It was warm and safe and she smiled as she drifted towards it. Her grandmother was there to meet her. It was a beautiful place where everyone was happy. Peoples laughter filled her new world. There was never time to get bored. Only time for fun and happiness.

Time passed. Emma did not know time where she was. Then one day it was her turn. To return. She went to the white room and lay down on the bed. Candles surrounded her. She drifted off into a deep sleep. Strange dreams filled her mind. Suddenly everything was erased. Her previous life was gone.

At the same time there was a birth. A boy. He loved to write. He loved to swim. As he grew he had strange dreams. He spoke in Italian in these dreams. And knew it fluently. But he never questioned it. He just accepted it. Never knowing where he learnt it. Never knowing it was the girl who had given her life to create his. Reincarnation. copyright gothgirl 2009
