Perfect Friend

She was always friendly. So people thought she was up to something and did not trust her. She always offered a helping hand. So people wondered what she wanted in return. She did not want to belong in a group at school.She wanted to be everyones friend. So people thought she was a spy. She was smart with her school work. So people thought she was the teachers pet.

She walked home alone from school to clear her head of the days events. So people thought she was snobby. So after a while she ended up sitting by herself in the classroom and in the school yard. No one wanted to talk to her. No one wanted to be her friend. But she held her head high and smiled. For she was the winner. For they were the ones who had lost a perfect friend. Her.
