"Go to the shop and get some milk!" her mother screamed and threw some coins at her. Lisa sighed. It was a half hour walk away and it was raining. And almost dark. Why was her mother always so mean to her? Lisa grabbed her coat, picked up the money and headed out. As she walked along the deserted road the rain became heavier It mixed well with her tears as she cursed her mother. A car was coming up behind her. It slowed to a crawl along side of her.

She recognised the man as he pulled down his window and said hello. She had seen him a few times at the shopping centre. He was always alone, like her and she pitied him. "Not a good evening to be out walking,"he said :Want a lift? Im David." She peered at him throught the rain and saw a gentle face staring back at her. She accepted and got in. He drove slowly. They made small talk. At the shop he parked in the darkest spot but she didnt notice. He said he would give her a lift back home. She felt so happy as she went and got the milk. Someone cared about her, finally.

As they drove back the weather worsened. They chatted like old friends. Until he drove past her house. And kept going. Even after she protested. He ignored her questions. He ignored the fear in her voice. He ignored her screams. Never get into a car with someone you dont know properly. Even if you have seen them around and they appear nice.
