Tina dropped the letter in horror, picked up the envelope and saw it was posted the day before yesterday.She picked up the phone to call the police but the line was dead. He was here! As she turned to look for a weapon there he was, standing a few feet away from her,holding a peice of pipe. "Oh Tina," he said shaking his head sadly "Who were you going to call? The police? I asked you to be a good girl, I even said please." "I-I wasnt" Tina whispered "Welcome home Mitch.I missed you." For a moment there was a flicker of sanity in his dark eyes but it disappeared as quickly as it came. "Good try bitch!" he said "Oh I forgot to tell you one more thing in the letter. For the past 3 years Ive also dreamt of you each night. Of killing you.Every night the same dream.With this pipe. And the voice of the black angel told me to do it so we could be together forever. So here I am"

Tina arrived home from work,grabbed the handful of letters from the mailbox and went inside. After showering and eating she opened the mail,most of which were bills. One letter caught her eye though and she paled and began to tremble as she recognised the hand writing. It was from her ex boyfriend who was doing time in jail for almost bashing a girl to death. She opened the letter with trembling hands and began to read, wondering why he was writing after 3 years.

'Dearest Tina Sweetheart, you have been in my thoughts every moment of every day for the past 3 years.The good times we had.The love we shared. The times we said we would be together forever. But then those other thoughts would surface.When you said I was changing.Becoming too possessive.Too clingy.Losing my temper all the time with you. That I wasnt the person you fell in love with. And then that day you told me we were over. You cut my heart in two Tina. My anger and hurt were too great to control. Didnt you notice the girl I almost killed was the same age as you and she looked like you too? I imagined she was you as I hit her over and over again with that peice of pipe.I hated you. More than anything.And it made me feel good to do that to her believing it was you. But now I have some good news.I have had alot of time to think in here. And I want you to know I love you and when I get out of jail today.....I am coming to live with you and we can be happy, just like we were before. Yes, they let me out early because I have been a good boy. Lets hope you are a good girl when I see you because I am pleading with you not to make me angry, please. See you soon baby. Mitch.'

Before Tina has a chance to move he took a step forward and struck her in the side of the head, killing her instantly. He slung her body over his shoulder, grabbed the letter and envelope and left the house, whistling to himself. He took her back to the flat he had rented and sat her lifeless body in a chair, chatting to her and smiling. He made them both dinner. Now she was his forever.
