A Gothic Love Story

When she awoke she was in a dark place. She was wrapped up warmly in blankets. And he was lying next to her, sleeping. Her body felt cold. She could not move well and her joints felt stiff.. And then she remembered. She turned and put her arm around him. He did not move. But then she heard him speak. "You should not have done that, but I am glad you did. For I dont know how long I could have resisted you for. I love you my darling...forever." "I love you too my Prince," she whispered. "Forever."

But she longed to be with him. So one night as they lay in eachothers arms.... she leaned over and kissed him.biting his lip. She sucked in his infected blood and gasped at the rancid taste. He jumped up in shock. She fell back on the bed. Her heart was beating so fast. She felt sick. Then all of a sudden she closed her eyes and drifted off.

They spoke bout being together but sadly it could not be. As he did not want to infect her with his blood and make her a vampire as well. He loved her too much to do that. She told him she did not mind if it meant they would be together forever. But he refused as life as a vampire was not fun. Sleeping all day. The hunger for blood never ended. The cravings and the loneliness. He did not want to burden her with a life of misery.

As the hours passed and dawn was coming he told her he had to go. She begged him to come and visit her again. He told her it would be his greatest pleasure. So each night he would go in through her window and they would talk about her and about him. He fell in love with her and her with him.

Her fear began to fade. They began to talk as she had never seen a vampire before. He told her stories of his journeys over the years and the strange and beautiful places he had been. She kept looking at his pale face and saw sadness in his eyes. Her heart went out to him when he told her that he had once been a normal man with a normal life. He wished he could have that back again but knew it would never happen.

She suddenly awoke, feeling that someone was watching her. She tried to scream when she saw the horrible creature next to her bed..but her voice was silent. He told her that he did not mean to scare her. Or harm her. He sat next to her on the bed. He told her that her beauty had captured his heart as no one had done before.

She was beautiful. An angel. He could not stop looking at her lovelines. Her dark hair fell around her gentle face. Her breath was sweet as he bent over her. Oh her blood would be so deliscious he thought. He hesitated. He did not want to taint her beauty but he wanted her so badly.He continued to stare at her in awe.

He was a vampire. He had roamed the world for many years looking for prey to feed on each night. He preferred to hunt and eat alone. One night he saw an open window as he was on his travels. Easy prey he thought as he drifted into the bedroom. He gasped at the woman sleeping in the bed.
